Conference 2016
The girls and I headed to PA by ourselves. The boys had gone a day earlier
and toured Gettysburg National Battlefield with my parents.
Thankfully, it was cooler here than in eastern Maryland; the
humidity was not so overwhelming.
Tiana and I had a tiny room in this block building;
the furnishings seemed to be frozen in the 1960's and1970's.
The main thing was that it had air conditioning and a tiny bathroom.
The other kids stayed in dorms near the gym.
The gym. I could often find my older kids hanging out here.
The Tabernacle.
It's just a few steps away from open-air worship.
The stream was a popular place for kids to play.
At this point it had just rained and the river was rushing along
so there were no kids splashing in it.
Getting ready for the Officials VS Youth volleyball games.
There were hundreds of people out that night.
We kept running out of food and had to run to the snack bar
to replenish multiple times.
It was probably the most warm and humid night of our stay
and even then it was very bearable.
One afternoon the youth made a dozen comforters for Torreon.
People always enjoy sitting around chatting.
Eventually, this is where we needed to hang out awhile
before enjoying the next major stop on our itinerary.
