Equal Screen Time

Someone around here was not too impressed with all the
attention Daisy received in the last post
and was offended at my "unkind" comments about
only having two kitties left to get rid of.
I will let you guess whom that might be...

So, to provide equal blog time to the cute kitties,
here are a few pictures Bethany took
to showcase her beloved cats.

We now have two adolescent kitties that could use a new home.
If you are interested just let me know and I will be sure to work it out.  :-)

********************************

Life around here has been crazy...in more ways than one.
In more ways than I have time to discuss.
So, I will leave you with a funny story.

I have some older clothes that I only wear when I am doing
really dirty jobs outside.
They are not torn or painted but just don't look that great any more.
One day I put on one of those faded dresses because I was going to work outside.
I had forgot that Bethany had piano lessons that day
but I ended up driving her to lessons while wearing that dress
because I figured that no one would see me.
Wrong!
The teacher asked that I come into her house so she could discuss something.
Groan!!
I went in and she instantly started gushing over my dress,
remarking on how pretty it was,
telling me that she needed something just like it,
and wondering where I had got it.
I am sure I said something along the lines of,
"This old thing?"
And I wasn't even being coy.

Two days later I had to stop at a professional office
and I was wearing an outfit that was soon destined to only be worn at home.
The receptionist loved it and wondered where I had got it.
Goodness!
It was the same outfit that some guy at the college had complimented
me on the colors of and I had thought he was complimenting the color of my car.
Awkward!

Anyway, I thought how funny it is that when we try to look nice and wear
something new then no one notices.
When we accidentally show up in some old rag (literally),
then we get compliments.
Go figure!
