There's No Such Thing As A
Simple Walk Through the Woods
I was looking at some pictures from our August camping trip
and after a good laugh I had to wonder if we are very strange
or if this is what all families do in the woods.
We can't just walk to the river and back.
No, scenes are set up and photographed.
Sticks, that turn into weapons,
Sticks, that turn into weapons,
are in everyone's hands.
People run to and fro finding interesting objects to
turn into a whole story line.
Who knew that in this bucolic setting that
danger lurks behind every tree and rock?
These are the ones that bring the danger through their fertile imaginations.
She looks very innocent yet she has some kind of dagger in her hand.
Mammoth Tusks
I was supposed to stand still so he could see how close he could
come without hitting me.

grazing me. It's rather hard to stand still in such instances.
I think this was some sort of Robin Hood re-enactment.
They love to take pictures of themselves in motion.
This is a very interesting five-frame story to watch unfold.
Young ladies should never walk by themselves in the woods.
So I don't leave you with only disturbing imagery,
here is a preview of our trip over beautiful Sonora Pass the following day.
Oh, yes. There's no such thing as a plain stick. And when Robin Hood is exhausted, there's always the Hobbit.
